Met Gala

In the world of fashion everyone will be whispering one name for the next few weeks. That is about the infamous Met gala. Held annually, Met gala or Met ball is held to raise funds for the Metropolitan Museum of Arts.

Many celebrities including actors, actresses, models and business women and men and politicians are invited to take part in this glamorous night in the first Monday in the month of May. But you are not invited just because you are popular. You have to be a fashion icon! Each year the even was given a theme, for which the participants must choose their outfits according to.

The Met gala marks the glamorous opening to the annual fashion exhibit which might run for several months, themed as In America: An Anthology of Fashion.

Since 1995 the editor of the fashion magazine Vogue and the chair person of the Met gala committee, Anna Wintour overseas the guest list in the Met gala. It is not easy to find a seat at this glamorous event as the price of a single ticket cost around 30,000-40,000 USD.

Met gala is nothing without its iconic red carpet where all the invitees show off their fashion ensembles, put together exclusively for this year’s theme “gilded Glamour”

The host of the 2022 Met gala stunned the red carpet with a quick change in her outfit by Atelier Versace. The gorgeous bluish-green dress with metallic detailing at the top was inspired by the architecture in the New York.
