You may have heard about the tallest building or about the tallest mountain. But do you know what is the tallest volcano? Check out the list of 9 tallest natural and human made wonders around the world.

  1. Tallest Tree in the world

The tallest tree in the world is the Coast Redwood tree located in Redwood National Park, California, US measuring 115.92 m in height.

2. Tallest Man Ever Lived

Robert Wadlow was known as the tallest man ever lived. His height was recorded 8′ 11” (2.72 m). Born in 1918 in Alton, Illinois he was also know as the Alton Giant. He died in 1940 in the age of 22.

Kingda Ka, located in Jackson, New Jersey is recorded as the tallest roller coaster in the world measuring 456 feet (120 m) in height. It was opened in 2005 as the tallest and fastest roller coaster but in 2010 its speed record was broken by Formula Rossa but Kingda Ka still holds the title as the tallest roller coaster in the world.

4. The Tallest Observation Deck

Shanghai Tower located in Shanghai, China possesses the tallest observation deck in the world measuring 562.1m in height. The deck is located in the 121st floor.

5. Tallest Statue in the World

The tallest statue in the world is the Statue of Unity located on the Narmada river, Kevadiya colony, India. It is the statue of Indian statesman and activist Vallbhbhai Patel who was the first deputy prime minister and home minister in India after the independence. The height of the statue is 182 m (597 ft).

6. The Tallest Hotel in the World

The tallest hotel in the world is Gevora hotel located in the United Arab Emirates. The hotel is 356.3 m (1169 ft) tall. The four star hotel was opened in 2018 with 75 floors.

7. The Tallest Volcano

Ojos Del Salado is known as the tallest volcano in the world measuring 6893 m (22615 ft) in elevation. The volcano is located in the Andes mountains in Chile and Argentina.

8. Tallest Underwater Mountain

Mauna Kea is known as the tallest underwater mountain located in Hawaii. Its peak is 4207.3 m above the sea level but most of the mountain is underwater. When the mountain is measured from the base its height is 10,211 m (33,500 ft) which makes it the tallest mountain in the world. Mauna Kea is a volcano but its last eruption was about 6000-4000 years ago. Therefore it is considered as a dormant volcano.
