Coca cola runs tests on a paper bottle

The prototype for the new bottle was made by a Danish company called Paboco. The bottle is made out of a extra strong paper with a thin plastic layer inside. But the company’s goal is to create 100% plastic free packaging. But there are many barriers to overcome but the Coca Cola company is determined to go for a zero waste production by 2030.

China has refused to give data regarding COVID to WHO

The WHO team had requested the raw data of the patients from the early COVID cases but they received only a summarized report. But China still have not responded to this allegation.

Earthquake in Japan

Japan was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 but no tsunami warnings were issued. The meteorological agency in Japan said that the earthquake hit at 1408 GMT at a depth of 60 km in the Pacific off Fukushima. Also it was near the epicenter of the 2011 earthquake which triggered a tsunami that killed more than 18,000.

Myanmar Coup

New Myanmar leader had made two public appearances after taking control over the country. General Ming Aung Hlaing did not mention about the Coup d’état but repeatedly spoke about how people should be disciplined.

Instagram to launch new feature

Instagram is planning to launch multi participant live stream at the end of February. Instagram chief Adam Mosseri revealed about this new feature during an interview with Lilly Singh on her show. But this is not brand new information. Actually Instagram was already testing this feature in India back in the December.

More importantly Instagram is stepping up to protect the IG users from bullying through the DMs. After the incident in UK in which footballers were bullied in an online racial attack.

Lunar New Year

February 12th marked the first day in the new year according to the Chinese calendar. This year marks as the year of the ox. The new year is marked as a holiday in China and usually the new year festival lasts for 16 days which starts as the new year eve to the festival of lanterns. This year the holiday is celebrated form 11th to 26th. Parallel to the Lunar new year Instagram and Facebook had released a new feature to celebrate the event.

Tik Tok Ban in US

The US president administration has announced that they will not force Tik Tok to sell the company into US ownership which means Tik Tok will be able to continue operating in US.
